What are you burning for?
A Call Back to Our Own Fire
One must be crazy to do this.
To pour hundreds of hours into a project that demands presence and asks you to feel again. All this in a time in which we loose our audience in a second if we are not exciting enough. To speak about the connection with the body in a world that seems more and more disconnected…
But how could we not?
Looking around, the turbulence is no longer subtle. We are really drifting away from ourselves. We are numbing down and minimizing our attention span. And even call it progress. We scroll and scroll and scroll and don’t have a minute to just breathe.
I adminre the lyrics and songs of artist Sofia Isella who sings:
We want the humans to grind
We want the engines to sing
We want machines to be human
We want humans to be machines
…as if we are collectively losing our minds.
Lets not forget: Elevation without embodiment is just dissociation with better branding.
Like… how can we talk about consciousness while ignoring our nervous system? Are we really okay with slowly rotting our brain and treating our sore back with pills instead of movement as we continue to hinge over our phones?
I’m not naive. Technology saves lives, expands knowledge, supports science, and opens doors. I wouldn’t be alive without modern medicine, I wouln’t be able to stay connected with my family without technology.
But at what price do we continue to let ourselves be consumed? The tipping point wasn’t today but yesterday. The question now is whether we can still recover, and how.
Psst…tips about how to step back into the body can be found in the article: “from anxiety to aliveness“
As we are becoming robots and it is on us to step back into our bodies.
To reconnect.
To love.
To feel.
To live riskfully, truthfully, passionately.
To follow the hearts desires.
…cheesy but necessary. 😉
For me, fire play is the medicine that brings me back into my body and into the moment. (see “how firedance has saved my life“)
For you it might be something else. So I ask you:
What are you burning for?
If we don’t use our fire, it turns against us. If we don’t direct it, someone else will.
This movie shall stand as a reminder and a mirror. I am committed to bringing it into the world no matter how long it takes and how many more nights of work and tears of frustration. Because its message belongs to anyone who has ever felt themselves slipping away from their own body. Surely I am not the only one.
I hope it can be a spark that might catch in someone who needs it. Because living closer to the heart is not a luxury. It’s a responsibility for human kind and human kindness.
If this message resonates with you, please support and share our pages. See what other articles are interesting for you on this page. And when the film premieres is sheduled and the film becomes available for everyone online, you’ll be noticed.
Thank you for being here.
